The latest Coral news

A few updates here and there to the site, including some lyrics to the new album (Thank you Rosa!) Any corrections/additions welcome, leave a post on the message board or email us (zionegg@talk21.com).
In The Morning was released yesterday on CD and 7''.

The FTP's down until tomorrow for maintenance on the server!

This is the tracklisting for THE INVISIBLE INVASION according to 'Ponoma' who do most of Deltasonic's press.

1. She Sings The Mourning
2. Cripples Crown
3. So Long Ago
4. The Operator
5. A Warning To The Curious
6. In The Morning
7. Something Inside Of Me
8. Come Home
9. Far From The Crowd
10. Leaving Today
11. Arabian Sand
12. Late Afternoon

More about the album....
*James Skelly says 'Arabian Sand' is about the Dali painting 'Mad Man in the Desert'
*"The Invisible Invasion" is said to be not as 'dubby' or radical as The Coral's other stuff. It's straightforward, but it works well for it. It's like a collection of the more 'normal' songs from the first two records.

If you haven't been to www.thecoral.co.uk lately..
check it out. The site has removed all the orange and browness that was from 'Magic and Medicine'.

Now it says 'THE INVISIBLE INVASION' on it.
The Forum is still down and over to the right theres an 'audio' button. I don't think its working yet.
Lets hope that the site is going to be updated a lot more soon.

It seems that the official coral forums are down
If you haven't already seen the new film clip (for "In the Morning") try this link:

I know most of this is taken from other websites, but it is a bit hard to find information on The Coral through television and radio out here in Australia. Mainly because The Coral aren't well known down here.

More news... just been confirmed that The Coral are to appear on "Top Of The Pops" on the 29th of April. It would be great if someone could get audio or video from that. The Coral might play some songs from the new album!

Here's the tracklisting of the new single, In The Morning:

CD Maxi
-In The Morning
-Gina Jones
-The Image of Richard Burton as Crom (aka Slow Mo Murder)

-In The Morning video

The Zion Egg crew would like to wish you lot a very merry Christmas and a fantastic New Year!! Thank you to all those who helped by sending in stuff, giving us news, posting to the boards, etc, see you all next year!

The FTP'll be down over the next few days, sorry!

You might have noticed that the site's been down over the last few days. Our host decided to die quite suddenly and it's taken me a while to sort a new (and better) one out. Hopefully this one will be faster, more reliable and enable us to add some features to the website. As from today onwards, the site can be accessed through www.zionegg.com as well, no more banners! Might be a few teething problems as a result of the host change, let us know on the message board if weird and wonderful things are happening when you view the website...

Stay tuned!

3rd album should be out early next year and is being produced by Adrian Utley and Geoff Barrow of Portishead fame.

James & Nick played an impromtu gig in Bath on the 17th of november, at the Porter Cellar Bar. They were joined onstage by a mystery guitar player (who might or might not have been Adrian Utley or Geoff Barrow...)

Little Mikey from the official board's informs us:

In care of gary bandit : new night starting this sunday, 5th December, and carrying on every week after. Ian (Skelly) will be djing the first one, then on the 12th the stdjs, then the 17th john bandit. It's at the lemon lounges on berry street, at the top of seel street, and is every sunday from then on. It's 1 pound on the doors and is kinda like the bandwagon..........but on a sunday.
Doors 8.30.

To be taken with a pinch of salt but a possible title for the new album, which is being mixed in Bath by Nick and James, is "The Invisible Invasion". Again, props to the Judge!

The ever reliable Judge informs us that the lads are in the process of mastering the new album!

From the deltasonic website:

The Coral get to work on new album

The Coral will be spending the whole of September working on the follow up to Magic and Medicine at Monnow Valley studios in South Wales. Keep checking this site for future information regarding their progress.
